This exhibition spotlights paintings completed outdoors or 'en Plein air.' Landscapes, flora, and fauna of the Sonoran desert are celebrated! Also, expect to see familiar garden scenes painted on location or inspired by vistas and the gardens themselves at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum.

The Tucson Pastel Society (TPS) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization established to advocate and promote the pastel medium, unite pastel artists, and organize professional development and artistic growth opportunities that increase the community's awareness of the versatility and value of pastel fine art. This exhibition will be in the visitor center of the Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park. The Boyce Thompson Arboretum is the largest and oldest botanical garden in Arizona. It is one of the oldest botanical institutions west of the Mississippi.
