About the Host

The words "Raices," meaning roots, and "Taller," meaning workshop, combine two separate yet very compatible impulses that led to the founding of the Raices Taller 222 organization. The two founding members, Juan Enriquez and Jorge Arteaga, needed a studio space to pursue their work and exhibit. They found a space at 222 E. 6th St. in Tucson, which was conveniently attached to a storefront gallery. For more information, visit raicestaller222.com.

About the Gallery

The Raices Taller 222 Gallery is a collective gallery that strives to encourage community support. Built upon its members' trust and mutual respect, its primary goal is to educate and promote the arts experience to segments of the population that might not otherwise have access to it through other, more traditional methods.

About the Restaurant

The American Bistro style menu is designed around moderate pricing with high-quality preparation and presentation. The cuisine is influenced by classical cooking techniques and seasonal offerings emphasizing freshness. A carefully hand-selected wine list invites the quest to experiment with food and wine pairings and winemakers they may not have sampled in the past – all within a moderate price structure. The restaurant's interior is designed to be warm yet modern, enveloped in soft lighting, rich colors, and accents of wood and stone. The ambiance creates an air of casual sophistication.

Chef Little's distinguished career kicked off with the Red Lion Corporation. It quickly advanced to the chef with Wyndham, Stouffers, Omni, Marriott Hotels, Farmstead Golf and Country Club, and the AAA Five-Diamond Nemacolin Woodlands Resort of Laurel Highlands, Pennsylvania. Chef Little served as the first resident chef at Greenville Technical College in Greenville, South Carolina, until he opened Tahoe South, a booming downtown Greenville, South Carolina restaurant.
